National Sorry Day 2011
Thousands of Australians commemorated Sorry Day on 26 May 2011. This years theme was 'Sorry. Still Living on Borrowed Time!' which was to recognise there is still a lot to do to achieve justice for the Stolen Generations. Our AbSec staff attended different Sorry day events held around the state which included ceremonies held at the Department of Family and Community Services head office at Ashfield, Council of Social Service (NCOSS) head office at Surry Hills and Great Lakes Manning Aboriginal Childrens Services (GLMACS) at Taree.
