Yabun 2010

Yabun 2010 was held at Victoria Park in Glebe on 26 January 2010. Yabun is Australia's largest one-day festival celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, renowned as one of the most important Indigenous music events in the country. Yabun showcases a huge wealth of creative talent and the resilience of  Indigenous people and their traditions. Over the past three years Yabun has expanded into a major Sydney-based festival, and is now on the City of Sydney's Major Festival's list. The program is very dynamic and brings together art and craft, dance, politics, literature, information stalls, activities for kids, and of course lots of live entertainment.

Yabun was an all day event running from 10am to 6pm. Yabun is was broadcast around Australia on the National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS) and streamed via the Gadigal website www.gadigal.org.au. The event was run by Gadigal Information Service Aboriginal Corporation, the home of Koori Radio 93.7FM.
