Have a Heart Become a Carer DVD
This DVD was developed by AbSec in response to the chronic shortage of Aboriginal Carers in NSW.
It endeavours to highlight to joys of caring, without glossing over the difficulties that may be encountered on the way.
It is essentially Aboriginal carers talking about Aboriginal caring, and was not scripted in any way.
AbSec gratefully acknowledges the financial support from the Telstra Foundation that made this project possible, and the tireless work of Jeni Kendall and Paul Tait from Gaia films.
AbSec also acknowledges the time and effort of all Aboriginal kinship and foster carers who participated in the making of this film and the commitment of all Aboriginal carers who strive to make a better life for our children and young people.
