Protecting Aboriginal Children Together (PACT)
A select tender process was undertaken in both Moree & Shellharbour regions. Two organisations have been selected in each PACT site location; both selected organisations had the capacity to take on a PACT and met the service selection criteria. Congratulations to Myimbar/Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation who were the preferred PACT organisation for Shellharbour & Pius X Aboriginal Corporation Moree. Both organisations are currently undergoing recruitment for the PACT Team leader and two PACT Advisors. Premises are being sourced in Shellharbour and Dapto CBD. Moree has secured property in Moree CBD. Draft service provision guidelines have been developed and are awaiting approval from PSA. Once approval has been given, endorsement from the agency will be required. A Local Implementation Group in Moree and Shellharbour has been convened to oversee the local implementation of the pilot; the group comprises CS staff, AbSec, PACT and community representatives.
