AbSec provides regular opportunities throughout the year, to build and strengthen the Aboriginal service sector, especially for our member organisations and community members involved in the care and welfare of our children and young people.
AbSec’s Aboriginal Child and Family Workforce Development Forums
AbSec is currently hosting forums across the state to inform the development of our Aboriginal Child and Family Sector Workforce Development Plan. These forums will focus on the key elements of:
Recruitment, Retention, Leadership and Succession, Training and Development
We believe these elements are vital in supporting a capable Aboriginal child and family workforce that is essential to the development of a state-wide safety-net of Aboriginal community controlled organisations able to effectively meet the needs of Aboriginal children, families and communities.
